Gagner Gets Deal

After a mesmerizing SuperSeries, Sam Gagner has done enough to impress the Oilers' management into giving him an entry-level deal right now, which gets him into the line-up for opening night. Gagner, who may be sent back to London after 9 games, will probably situate himself on the top line with Ales Hemsky (Dennis) and Dustin Penner (Box 3). If this is a full season job, Gagner should make Hemsky and Penner better, just like how he's been doing it during the preseason. TSN.ca is reporting that Gagner will likely play on a line with fellow rookie, Andrew Cogliano and Marc-Andre Pouliot, but whoever plays with him will get some points this year.

When the team is officially cut down to size, a proper team update will follow.
