Injury Update

Ducks defenseman Mathieu Schneider (John B.) is a little behind schedule for his return. He had just had his cast taken off and will still be 10 days away from getting in skates again and will probably be a few days after that. Schneider is yet to dress for the Ducks this season, but will be a welcome addition to the team (and most pool teams) when he does return.

The oft-injured Martin Havlat (Marcus) will have a decision made as to whether or not he'll need surgery on his injured shoulder. If surgery is required, then Havlat will be shut down for the year and all of his pool credibility will have gone down the tubes with his season.

It wasn't a healthy scratch that kept Milan Hejduk (Benson) out of the line-up against the Flames on Tuesday night. He's actually listed as out day-to-day with a back injury. There wasn't any indication of how severe the injury is, but if it's just back spasms, he could only miss another game or two before returning.

Well, a pair of groin injuries are raising some concern in Columbus. Rick Nash (Wes) is questionable for the Jackets' game tonight against Dallas tonight. Defintiely out for tonight is Fredrik Modin (Box 3). He's got MRI results coming in the next day or two, which will decide whether or not he'll be able to go on Friday as well.

Leafs defender, Carlo Colaiacovo (John P.), is back at practice and should be close to a return to the line-up. He is now listed on the Standings page as day-to-day. A definite upgrade. Also coming close to a return is Kyle Wellwood (John P.). He has a chance to make it back to the line-up by the weekend.
