Out of training camp go Jiri Tlusty, Jay Harrison, Simon Gamache and Scott Clemmensen, among others, and that wraps up the line-up heading into the regular season. With injuries Kyle Wellwood and suspensions to Mark Bell, the team will take on some extra talent and give guys like Wade Belak and Chad Kilger some longer term shots at a roster spot.Tlusty, Harrison and Gamache were really looked upon to make the roster, as the coaching staff hoped that they could infuse some new blood into a line-up that the rest of the league somewhat knows and can coach against. Unfortunately, Paul Maurice didn't seem to get the results he wanted from these guys and off to the minors they go.
| Jason Blake | Mats Sundin | Alexei Ponikarovsky |
| Darcy Tucker | John Pohl | Alex Steen |
| Nikolai Antropov | Matt Stajan | Bates Battaglia |
| Wade Belak | Chad Kilger | Boyd Deveraux |
| Kyle Wellwood | Mark Bell |
| Tomas Kaberle | Bryan McCabe |
| Ian White | Pavel Kubina |
| Carlo Colaiacovo | Andy Wozniewski |
| Derrick Walser |
| Vesa Toskala |
| Andrew Raycroft |
Remember... these are line combinations, rather than their possible pool priorities at the moment. I'll let Paul Maurice do all the line combos from here.
Salary cap wise... this line-up will hover between the $46 - $50 million mark, depending on when Wellwood and Bell can return to the line-up. It's going to be a very expensive year if the Leafs don't make the playoffs.
