In the Shark Tank tonight, San Jose will play host to the Detroit Red Wings for the first time this season. The Sharks and Wings have split their last 16 games, going 7-7-2, so you can imagine, this is anyone's game tonight. This game should have a match-up of some good goaltending, where Dominik Hasek (John B., Box 6) will take on Evgeni Nabokov (Wes, Box 6). Wes has 10 points up on John, so John could use a big 2 points (or more) to jump back up closer to the money positions.
There are quite a few game-time decisions for Detroit heading into tonight's game. The biggest concern comes from their captain, Nicklas Lidstrom (Benson, Box 4). Lidstrom is a game-time decision with a rib injury. He didn't skate in practice on Wednesday, which adds to the intrigue. Mikael Samuelsson (Box 8) has started skating again and should also be close to being ready for San Jose. Johan Franzen (Box 9) is on schedule to return from his groin injury by the end of the month, which is also really good news for the banged up team.
The Sharks go into the game with at worst a couple knocks, but nothing that should keep anyone out of the line-up (pool-wise) out of the line-up.
