The Winnipeg Jets made a small splash on the deadline, picking up defenseman Grant Clitsome off of waivers from the Columbus Blue Jackets, adding some much needed depth to their blueline, as the rumours swirl about dealing players away. Clitsome had fallen out of favour in Columbus, despite having a pretty good finish to the 2011 campaign, but the Jets are willing to add a piece today to help them with their push into the playoffs, if possible. Clitsome has 14 points in 51 games this season, 98th among defensemen in scoring, which could certainly help.
With that being said, Chris M. has Clitsome in the draft this year, but the overall impact to the money will be nil, as Chris sits a way down in 17th place.
