All Avalanche news on Thursday morning, as they took on the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday night and we'll start with the pre-game notes. Box 6 forward Peter Mueller was held out of the line-up due to an undisclosed torso injury and has been listed as out day-to-day. There is some general concern for Mueller's injury, as he has had plenty of concussion problems recently and without disclosing the nature of the injury, it will lead to rampant paranoia.
Box 13 defenseman Ryan Wilson was held out of the line-up due to an illness, which had held him out of practice on both Monday and Tuesday as well, so this is a little bit more than a flu bug, by the look of things.
In the game itself, the Avalanche lost Box 7 forward T.J. Galiardi to another one of those undisclosed torso injuries, but there was some immediate speculation that he had suffered a shoulder injury, but his overall status going forward is still unknown.
I don't believe any one of these three players were all that popular in the sheet pool, so I don't think there will be much of any impact in the standings.
