Flames Demote Ramo

Starting on Friday night, home to the Detroit Red Wings, the Calgary Flames will officially be a 2-goalie team, as Karri Ramo managed to clear waivers and was thus demoted down to the Stockton Heat of the AHL.

Ramo made three appearances for the Flames and his numbers were pretty far from stunning.  An 0-3-0 record, a 4.37 GAA and a .879 save percentage made the decision rather easy to stick with Jonas Hiller and give Joni Ortio a shot at a job in the top two.

Of course, this is bad news for Brenda & Seward, who now lose his projected games for the foreseeable future, including the two games this week come off their total.  On the flip side, eventually, Ortio will get some action, which Ryan has been waiting patiently for and Grant will continue to see starts from Hiller.
