There was one more goalie announcement for opening night tomorrow and as expected, the San Jose Sharks will be running with their new number one keeper, Martin Jones, suiting up against the Los Angeles Kings. This is good news for Scott, who can get off to a good start in the goalie survivor pool with a win there.No surprise in Ottawa, as Craig Anderson will get the nod for the team's opening game, Thursday against the Sabres in Buffalo. With Andrew Hammond on the shelf with a groin problem, Anderson will be the the go-to guy in the Ottawa net and will get a nice head start on impressing the coaching staff. John P. will get a good long run with Anderson starting in net, one would figure, which increases his chances of a start in the survivor pool as well.
