If you're looking for a constant stream of goalie announcements on this blog this season, you may be out of luck some days, as it may not be feasible to do it all the time... I'm just one guy, dammit! When I do chime in, it will be in regards to the pools, both the regular and the survivor pool.
So, with opening night upon us, we have eight starting goalies for the four games on tap tonight and in the pool, seven pool teams have a chance at getting on the board for the survivor pool.
Carey Price (John S.) and Jonathan Bernier (Cindy) will go in the Habs & Leafs game, while Henrik Lundqvist (Derek) and Corey Crawford (Stuart) are the starters for the Rangers & Blackhawks.
For the Canucks, Ryan Miller is getting the start for Clayton and for the Sharks, it will be Martin Jones, starting for Scott.
It will certainly get a little bit more interesting on Thursday, as the schedule really flies into full gear and some more of the teams with goaltending controversies get going and start naming names. That's what we all want and we're going to get a large heaping spoonful of it.
