Goalie Announcements (Oct 13)

Opening up Week Two last night, five games in the NHL, all five wins landed in the pool, four of which kept teams going in the survivor pool.  Allan, Clayton, Eric and John P. are all locked in for Week Three, awaiting to see who will join them tonight in a busy Tuesday night schedule.

Grant S. appears to have his ticket punched as he has his two goalies going head-to-head tonight, as Brian Elliott is starting for the Blues against Jonas Hiller of the Flames at the Saddledome in Calgary.  The only way that Grant doesn't get the win is if one of those two goalies gets pulled (or hurt) and his replacement gets the victory.

Another pool team will also get a couple of chances to stay in the race, as Jeremy has Braden Holtby in for the Capitals and Eddie Lack making his first start for the Hurricanes.  Only Holtby is going up another pool goalie, as Scott will have Martin Jones in net for the Sharks in Washington tonight, which could prove to be a good game.

At Madison Square Garden, we have a survivor pool match-up, as Michael Hutchinson gets the nod for the Jets, squaring up against Henrik Lundqvist and the Rangers.  In the pool, Mike's goalie takes on Derek & Dan's keeper, loser has to make up for it later in the week.

Carey Price (John S.), Pekka Rinne (Ryan) and Jimmy Howard (Stacey M.) all have match-ups tonight against goalies that are either not in the pool or belong to teams already qualified or for Week Three or eliminated already.
