Word from the scribes this morning in Detroit is that Shane Doan will not be going for the Coyotes tonight. The upper-body injury has gotten the best of the team's captain for tonight's game and will end up getting some rest tonight and will hopefully be better for Game Five, which doesn't go until Friday back in Phoenix, according to the schedule. Doan will be listed as day-to-day with his upper-body injury.
Doan is the Box 1 player for the Coyotes in these playoffs and has been taken twice in the pool, betting on the long odds that the desert dogs will go all the way or pretty close, it looks like. The Coyotes will definitely need his leadership, if that is to happen.
