The Flyers were relieved to get Jeff Carter back in their line-up amidst this playoff push, but that meant that Ville Leino was again going to be the guy out of luck, as the odd man out in the Flyers line-up. Of course, the addition of Carter did not help the Flyers too much, as they dropped their game against the Rangers, 4-3, which meant that the Eastern Conference playoff race would continue through to Sunday.
The Capitals keep sitting their veteran players, but the Capitals keep on winning... now that's what I call depth. In the press box on Friday night were Mike Knuble and Tom Poti, among others, against the Thrashers, but it wasn't going to stop Alex Ovechkin and company, who were on the ice, from beating Atlanta 5-2. With all of these scratches, I cannot wait to see how the opening night of the playoffs roster is going to look. We all know it'll be a powerful line-up.
