How can you tell that the Minnesota Wild are just phoning it in now? The injuries are piling up and their superstars don't seem to be finishing games. Going into Monday night's contest against the Edmonton Oilers, Owen Nolan and Marek Zidlicky were both added to the list of casualties with a leg and arm injury, respectively. Also, in the game versus the Oilers, they lost the services of Martin Havlat, who left the game with a pulled groin/hamstring injury. You can kind of tell they are out of the playoffs.
The St. Louis Blues got to take on the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday, in another battle of teams not making the playoffs. In the game, the Blues lost both Keith Tkachuk and Patrik Berglund to injuries and it's still unknown whether or not either of them will be good to go for the rest of the week. Tkachuk left the game with a lower-body injury, while Berglund left with an upper-body injury. Both players don't figure into much in this last week, so pay little heed to it.
