We already discovered that Mikko Koivu was already in need of some knee surgery to repair an injury he had reportedly been playing with for the entire season, but now there is word that he'll also undergo a procedure to repair a torn shoulder muscle as well. Koivu will be rehabbing both body parts through the Summer in order to get to training camp feeling 100%. Koivu will reportedly need four weeks to rehab his knee, but his shoulder will need 12-to-14 weeks to rehab to 100%. There is still plenty of time for Koivu to get all this done in time and be ready to go in September.
Also, deadline acquisition Cam Barker has already undergone surgery to remove some particles from his ankle this week. Barker will likely be off that ankle for the next month. There shouldn't be any problems with him come training camp either.
