Some extra breaking news on Wednesday morning, as the Philadelphia Flyers have ruled out both Jeff Carter and Simon Gagne from Thursday's Game Five, which goes in New Jersey. Both Carter and Gagne injured their right foot and both are now listed as day-to-day.This bit of news is a powerful loss of offense to the Flyers, but with a 3-1 series lead, they can afford to rest these two, especially if there is some serious discomfort by some bruising. Just keep your fingers crossed if you are one of the three teams in the pool that has Gagne, since no one has Carter, that they don't have to do further examinations when the swelling goes down... saying that there is swelling, of course.
