Very minor deal between the Canadiens and the Lightning on Monday, as the two teams deal some depth goaltending. The Lightning send former top prospect Karri Ramo to Montreal for minor league stat leader Cedrick Desjardins.  Ramo is currently spending time in Europe on a deal and the Lightning wanted to get a little more usable depth on their side, so this deal makes some sense for the Lightning.  The Canadiens like their bluechip goaltending, even if they have to wait for it and they will have to be patient with Ramo, especially with another year in Europe.

This deal doesn't affect too much going into the hockey pool, it's just a really slow news day and anything on the blog is better than nothing.
