Red Wings Add Salei

The Red Wings added a little more depth to their blueline on Monday by signing Ruslan Salei to a new 1-year deal on Monday, which is believed to be worth $1.1 million. Salei was a member of the Colorado Avalanche in the 2010 season and battled a back injury for the better part of the season, limiting him to only 14 games. In those 14 games, Salei picked up 6 points, which will hurt his rankings, but if there is a notion that he is 100% going into camp, I would look to him for 20 to 25 points in 2011.
