Word out of Philadelphia is that superstar defenseman Chris Pronger is still hurting from the playoffs and it may effect when he is able to start practicing and playing with the Flyers this Fall. According to a TSN article this afternoon, Pronger has been dealing with the effects of a knee injury, which he suffered in Game One of the series against the Boston Bruins. Pronger underwent off-season surgery to clean out his knee, but it doesn't sound like he's improving at a very fast pace and he'll be questionable for opening night, which is October 7th for the Flyers.
We'll consider him day-to-day for right now, but we'll keep a close eye on him as we draw closer to the regular season. I'm sure the Flyers will be keeping everyone posted with more updates, I'll likely post the more relevant updates, especially leading up to the Draft and Selection Sheet dates.
