The Chicago Blackhawks announced on Monday evening that forward Patrick Sharp had undergone an emergency appendectomy, which will keep the top end scoring forward out of the team's training camp and possibly will miss a couple of games to start the regular season. The official word is that Sharp will miss the next 3-to-4 weeks recovering from this surgery, which puts him out until October 10th, at the projected latest.
If this is to hold true, I do not believe that this injury will hurt his overall projections, as he should be able to bounce back easily and when he gets back into the line-up, he should be 100%.
