Well, some manageable news got a little bit worse for the Anaheim Ducks on Monday afternoon, as defenseman Kurtis Foster's injury condition has worsened. In camp, he has been sitting out of on-ice activity thanks to some knee inflammation, but the inflammation was caused by a wire that was left in his leg after one of his previous surgeries. On Monday, Foster underwent surgery to have this wire removed and he is now expected to be out of the line-up for 2-to-4 weeks.
The worst case scenario return for Foster would be October 17th, when the Ducks visit San Jose to take on the Sharks in their fifth regular season game.
With the way Foster's luck has been going in these previous seasons, it might be wise to avoid him altogether, if you are drafting this year.
