Sexton, I had on my expected roster going into the season, so his early demotion, before the last week of preseason games, does come as a bit of a surprise, but Anaheim is loaded with talent, so it isn't too bad. Some of that talent that could have unseated Sexton belonged to Palmieri, but his demotion may come as a little bit more of a shock than not.
With these two demotions, their projections have now bottomed out as regular season call-ups at best, so be sure not to think of these two as sleepers, as of today.

There have been a couple of additions to the Ducks' table today, as Devante Smith-Pelly has turned a few heads and he currently remains in camp. There is definitely some potential for him down the road, but the top six is pretty well full at this point, so there is no point in giving him more points than he will likely see ice-time for.
