Kadri Out With Knee Sprain

After an MRI on Wednesday, it has been determined that Nazem Kadri does have a knee sprain and the team expects to be without one of their top prospects for the next 3-to-4 weeks.

Kadri, who was expected to make a solid run at a spot on the opening night roster, has been sidelined since Tuesday night, when he suffered the injury against the Senators in preseason action.  Kadri was one of the favourites through camp, having his speed and his overall game improve over the last year and he could have been shuffled into the line-up in any number of spots, ranging from the top line to the third line.

Kadri is a member of the selection sheet pool in Box 22, so missing a month should be enough for you to skip over him, if you are thinking of selecting him.  Kadri was not drafted on Wednesday night.
