Well, both of our surviving teams have had opportunities in the first couple nights worth of action in Week Seventeen, but neither John S. or Stacey M. has yet to break their way through to Week Eighteen and/or have that opportunity for the mini-game win.
Thursday night doesn't offer up a lot of games, nor does it offer many chances, but Stacey will get one look tonight.
That one look won't come from the Rangers, as it was announced earlier this morning that the Rangers have recalled Magnus Hellberg to take Antti Raanta's spot as back-up, since the usual back-up is off with his wife to welcome a child into the world. Henrik Lundqvist will give Grant a start for the visitors and at the home side, Robin Lehner will go for the Sabres, giving Jeremy a key start tonight.
The look for Stacey will come from Nashville tonight, when the Predators will play host to the Oilers and the home team isn't considered the favourites in this one, as the Oilers are in better shape in the overall standings, so far this season. Nashville will send Stacey's keeper, Pekka Rinne, to the crease to fend off the Oilers, but at the other end, it will be Marcie's number one goalie, Cam Talbot, getting the call. This won't be an easy one.
Both the Rangers and the Predators have one more game this week after these two, it seems unlikely that Raanta will get the start on Sunday afternoon, but Rinne would likely get the next start on Saturday night, so Stacey should have one more crack, if things don't go well tonight.
