The Winnipeg Jets' blueline took a pretty big hit when Tobias Enstrom was the victim of a check from behind major penalty from Pittsburgh Penguins' goon, Tom Sestito. Enstrom was sent to hospital after the hit, suffering facial fractures and Sestito is now up for an NHL suspension.
There was no immediate update on Enstrom's status on Thursday, but there likely won't be a huge rush to get the blueliner back, but since they are in the middle of the playoff race in the West, 5 points back of the last wild card spot, they will want to expedite the process as much as they can.
With 1 goal and 14 points in 60 games this season, Enstrom hasn't exactly been an offensive force this season for the Jets, nor for Ryan's hockey pool team. Ryan certainly hopes that the Swede can make a quick comeback, possibly with a full face shield, so his 6th place team can jump up into the money and possibly even stay there. We're waiting to see how long Enstrom is out for officially, but this could be a couple weeks before he gets the green light.
