The Chicago Blackhawks only got five and a half minutes worth of ice-time out of forward Artem Anisimov on Wednesday night against Pittsburgh, before he had to leave with a lower-body injury. The coaching staff after the game did not give much for details, but they expect him to miss some time with this injury, but that's all we know. Unless he is put on the Injured Reserve, which sounds like it could be an option, he'll be listed as day-to-day with the injury.
Anisimov was an early season beast for Marcin's team, but really tailed off come the middle of the season, but his numbers are nothing to sneeze at, 43 points in 59 games thus far. If this injury is significant, it is very likely that Marcin's team will fall into the bottom half of the standings.
Well, that was a short stint in the minors, likely a paperwork/accounting issue, for Pavel Buchnevich, as he was recalled from the minors by the Rangers on Thursday. There's no guarantee that the young Russian is going to suit up for the Rangers in Boston tonight, but he is at least on the active roster and his projected games can return to Tony's team page.
Tony's team still sits at 3 points this week, tied with Wilton and Mike for the Basement Dweller lead, all three teams behind Troy's goon squad by a couple of points. Wilton does have the tie-breaker today, as his team has yet to score a goal this week, but Tony doesn't want to get caught without points in the finish to this week.
