It was supposed to be a scheduled start for Al Montoya today, with the Canadiens hosting the Dallas Stars tonight, but a lower-body injury suffered in practice on Tuesday morning ensures that he won't even dress tonight for the Habs. The team has recalled Zach Fucale to back-up Carey Price tonight, but there is no word on how long the team expects Montoya to be out right now.
Marcin's team is barely hanging on to a top 10 spot, 10th, to be exact, only 1 point up on 11th place and will definitely miss this start against a poor Stars team. Both Stuart and Benson are on his tail, so Marcin will need the rest of his team to pick up the slack to stay in the top 10.
A report from the Ottawa Senators camp, as they prepare for a game in Philadelphia tonight, is that forward Zack Smith is feeling under the weather and may not dress for the team tonight. He'll be considered day-to-day and if he can't go, it's likely that dropped pool defenseman Jyrki Jokipakka will dress in his place and the Senators would go with seven defensemen.
Grant's team is looking for a top 20 finish this season and his team currently sits at the bottom of a 3-way tie for 19th, missing out on the goals for tie-breaker. Both Derek B. and Dale C. are in this race with him, not that it really means all that much, since there is no effect on the draft order next season.
