Goalie Announcements (Dec 20)

Did Dale B. get his win?  Will his team start Week Twelve in the survivor pool?  Check out the Newsletter tomorrow to find out!

No new survivor pool news to speak of on Sunday, but we have six games on the schedule, starting at 2pm MT, so we'll go over them quickly, see if there is anything interesting to point out.

In the early game, it will be Roberto Luongo (Kristy & Don) playing host to his former employers, as the Panthers will be taking on Ryan Miller (Clayton) and the Canucks.  Kristy & Don open Sunday with a 3-point lead for the Mover & Shaker, so a win on Sunday would certainly help their cause.

We know Cory Schneider (Troy) will be in the net for the New Jersey Devils, when they head into the TD Garden, likely to face Tuukka Rask (Dale C.) for the Boston Bruins.  Troy is one of those teams chasing down the pool's first duo for the Mover & Shaker, so he'll want his goalie to keep pace.

The Tampa Bay Lightning will be playing host to the Ottawa Senators this afternoon, a 3pm MT start.  It is expected that we'll see Ben Bishop (Allan) in the home net today, while Andrew Hammond (Dropped) will get a start for the Sens today.  Allan is tied with Troy at 28 points in the week, so he's also right in the thick of the glorious paragraph in our weekly Newsletter.

The Detroit Red Wings are getting a double dose of the Pacific Division this weekend, as they host the Calgary Flames, a 5pm MT start today.  Petr Mrazek (Tony) is expected to get the call for the Wings, while the Flames will be going back to the well with Karri Ramo (Brenda & Seward), as he tries to bounce back from a loss on Saturday afternoon in St. Louis.

Big match-up between the Washington Capitals and the New York Rangers on Sunday evening, as we could see quite the goalie match-up, with Braden Holtby (Jeremy) going up against Henrik Lundqvist (Derek & Dan).  Jeremy climbed back into 1st place on Saturday night and a win from his number one would keep him in good shape for staying there.

Finally, the last game on the schedule for the week is San Jose visiting Chicago and we're expecting to see Martin Jones (Scott) in for the Sharks and Scott Darling (Eric) getting a rare start for the Hawks.  Both pool teams are playing in the middle of the road in the weekly standings, so we're looking at a match-up for their own personal goodness today.
