Goalie Announcements (Dec 31)
John P. was skunked again on Wednesday night and on a busy New Year's Eve, the only team that would possibly offer up a start for him is going with their other goalie.
The team in question, the Buffalo Sabres, they're hosting the New York Islanders and it will be a match-up between Linus Ullmark (Stacey C.) and Thomas Greiss (Eric) to finish off the calendar year for each side.
Brenda & Seward, our pool leaders, will have both of their goalies going tonight... head-to-head. In Calgary, it will be Jonathan Quick against Karri Ramo in this one, so they should be almost guaranteed 2 points from that game.
It doesn't look like Jeremy will get any starts tonight, as Washington will likely go with Philipp Grubauer (non-pool) against Jeremy's ex-goalie, Eddie Lack (Wes) in Carolina. The Panthers don't go tonight, so no start from Al Montoya.
That already rounds out the top three teams in the standings, so what's left? No more teams have two goalies going tonight, so that's not really a story line. Looks like it is business as usual in most rinks tonight.
