Goalie Announcements (Mar 18)

Jeremy's team has remained on top through St. Patrick's Day, so... lucky him! His team will get a little bit of help, as Braden Holby will be back in goal tonight for the Capitals, as the Predators are in town on back-to-back nights.

Brenda & Seward won't challenge Jeremy from the crease tonight, with no goalies going, but I'm sure the weekend will keep the chase up.

In the race for 3rd place, Brian will defend his spot, which only has a 1-point gap, with Cam Talbot in net for the Oilers, taking on Jacob Markstrom (Wes) and the Canucks.  Talbot has been good of late, while the Canucks are a mixed bag, so there's a good chance there for a win.

John P. is assured a win tonight, almost certainly, with the Senators taking on the Sabres in the opening game of the night, as Craig Anderson is taking on Chad Johnson, both of his goalies going head-to-head.  It's better than having the chance to lose two games, I guess.  I'm sure he'd probably prefer it if there was points for overtime/shootout losses, but that's a rubbish point in the NHL standings, so it doesn't exist in the pool.

Neil, whose 6 points back of the money spot, doesn't have a goalie going either tonight, so he'll have to wait until Saturday for another shot.

Mike's team is keeping the pace in the Mover & Shaker race this week, great news for him, but his only chance for a goalie start is being passed over, as Ondrej Pavelec (Stuart) is getting the call for the Winnipeg Jets, with Scott Darling (Eric) and the Chicago Blackhawks in town.

Kristy & Don are challenging for the Mover & Shaker nod again this week and they are expected to have Semyon Varlamov in the Avalanche net tonight, as they visit Joni Ortio (Dropped) and the Flames tonight.  That has win written all over it, doesn't it?

In the late game tonight, Boston is in Anaheim on their California road trip, and the expectation tonight suggests Tuukka Rask (Dale C.) against John Gibson (Clayton) in a battle of the middle of the standings.

And just like that, we've covered all the games on the schedule tonight.  That was quick!
