An update on the status of Columbus defenseman Jack Johnson came down on Wednesday, as the Blue Jackets announced that he will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery and that will shut down him down. With Columbus not being in the playoff picture, rather in better shape for the Draft Lottery, there was no sense in rushing him back from a serious injury.
This means that our current pool leader, Jeremy, will now run the remainder of the season without a defenseman on his roster. He wasn't getting a great deal of production from him before the injury, so he won't be terribly missed now.
