Race to the Sin Bin (Mar 18)

Could this week be the week that Wes finally relinquishes the PIM pool lead?  His roster has been beaten up substantially of late and it is clinging to a 12-minute lead, going into Friday's action.

Usually, if Derek & Dan have made some gains on Wes, like they have already this week, Wes' team would find away to put some minutes back on the board on the weekend.  The weekend starts tonight and Wes has Cody McLeod of the Avalanche going to lead the way, as his 125 minutes is a good total this year.  The Avalanche are in Calgary tonight, so there could be some sparks before too long.  Don't forget about Ryan Kesler and the Ducks, as they will play host to the Bruins tonight and that has some real potential for some dick players to go head-to-head in a battle.

The duo will offer a solid rebuttal, however, with Chris Neil of the Senators taking on Evander Kane of the Sabres, both teams not really in playoff contention and irritated by that.  Both players have been good for Derek & Dan recently, so that lead could possibly diminish in the flash of a couple fists.  Zack Kassian will get to face one of his former teams, as the Oilers entertain the Canucks, which also has a bit of potential.

Overall pool leader, Jeremy, has the weekly lead, with 29 minutes in penalties, which should be good for the end of the week, which it may have to be, since his best goon tonight is Ottawa's Mark Stone.
