Scary moment for the Montreal Canadiens, as P.K. Subban was stretchered off the ice on Thursday night, after a freak collision in the corner with teammate Alexei Emelin. Emelin caught Subban's head with his backside in a very awkward collision, jarring the defender's head and forcing the injury. Reports on Friday morning say that he was taken to hospital for testing and after completing those tests, he was released, citing a non-serious neck injury. He'll be listed as day-to-day for now and he'll be questionable/doubtful for Saturday's contest, home to the Wild.
For Dale B., that puts another name on the news page for him, which brings his team up to five guys on the shelf. His team now sits in 14th place, with 471 points. Subban was ranked 3rd on his team in points, so this is a pretty significant loss, if the Canadiens wish to rest him back to 100%.
