Race to the Sin Bin (Mar 5)

Boy, the overall numbers this week have not been very impressive, as a whole. Only 8.2 PIM per game this week? It's like they're having a whole bunch of tea parties out there and being nice to each other. Stop it! Let's drop the mitts, these games mean something!

It wasn't a big night at all for our two PIM pool leaders, as Wes still leads Derek & Dan by 12 minutes, but we have a whole bunch of games tonight (11, in fact) and some of them do have some divisional flavour to them.

By my count, early on this morning, it looks like a dead heat of eight skaters each for tonight's match-ups, all thanks to injuries on either side of the ledger.

Wes will defend his lead with Cody McLeod of the Avalanche and Ryan Kesler of the Ducks, most notably (70+ PIM), while Derek & Dan will counter with Chris Neil of the Senators and Evander Kane of the Sabres, with an honourable mention to Shane Doan of the Coyotes, who sits at 69 minutes.

In terms of the weekly numbers, it has been Derek & Dan's week, as they go into the weekend with 32 minutes in Week Twenty-Two, but they are being tailed by Brian and Troy, down at 22 and 21 minutes, respectively.  Brian will have a couple of notable players going tonight in Brad Marchand of the Bruins and Dion Phaneuf of the Senators, while Troy's troublemaker of the week, Max Domi of the Coyotes, is suspended for tonight's game against the Panthers.
