Bruins' Donato Sent to Minors

With only 1 goal in 11 games this season, not to mention a healthy scratch already this season, the Boston Bruins have opted to continue the development of Ryan Donato in the minors.  The Bruins sent down the 22-year old down on Thursday night and it sounds like the team has given him a plan for things to work on down there and a return may not be all that imminent, unless injuries occur or he really finds his scoring ways down in the AHL.

It's a disappointing result after he showed quite a bit of promise near the end of last season and into the playoffs, but not all of these kids, even the NCAA grads, develop at the same rate.

For Clayton, the 1 point was not exactly a huge contribution to his rookie points total, which currently leads the hockey pool mini-game, but his participation was not frowned upon, when he was in the lineup.  Without his playing time in the lineup, it will certainly hurt the mini-game and the overall standings, where his team stands in 12th place, waiting for the late games on Friday night.
