Goalie Announcements (Nov 18)

It's the last day of Week Seven and we still have three teams in the survivor game, still in need of a win on Sunday and there are only five games left on the schedule.  Will they have a chance at a win?

The Mover & Shaker race should be pretty well decided now, but the Basement Dweller nod race is still alive and well, heading into Sunday's action.  Three teams tied at 14 points, desperate to avoid infamy on the Newsletter this week.  One will have to take it though, who will it be?

Ben Bishop (Clayton) versus Robin Lehner (Chelsea)
Chelsea's team is both in need of a win and in the race for the Basement Dweller spot, so this Robin Lehner start for her is a big one!  She does get a chance to earn those 2 points from the Islanders in the early game today, as they host Ben Bishop and the Stars, who have been playing some pretty good hockey of late.  A win from Bishop would give Clayton's team a new season-high in weekly scoring, as his team ran away with the Mover & Shaker this week.

Cory Schneider (Tony) versus Curtis McElhinney (N/A)
Both the Devils and the Hurricanes played on Saturday, so I wouldn't expect either team to be dressing their goalies that they played yesterday, leaving Cory Schneider to go for the Devils and Curtis McElhinney to go for the Hurricanes.  Neither have been confirmed, it's certainly possible that a goalie could go back-to-back, but since both teams took losses yesterday, look for this match-up today.

Alex Stalock (N/A) versus Corey Crawford (Benson)
The Minnesota Wild are on the second half of back-to-backs tonight, so they will be going with their number two tonight, Alex Stalock, taking a pool start away today.  The Chicago Blackhawks last played on Friday night, a 2-1 shootout loss to the Kings and it is unclear who will get the start tonight, as Crawford took the loss, but still is considered to be the number one.  Who knows?  Cam Ward could jump in and try and start a new winning streak and get in the net more often.

Philipp Grubauer (Jesse) versus John Gibson (Kristy & Don)
The Avalanche confirmed that Philipp Grubauer would be playing tonight, giving Jesse a late start in the week and it is expected, but not confirmed, that the Ducks will be going with John Gibson at the other end.  Jesse's team goes into action tonight in 15th place, but a win could bump his team up to 13th, if all went well in the other action today.

Marc-Andre Fleury (Troy) versus Cam Talbot (Mike)
A night after the Oilers collapsed in the 3rd period against the Flames, they will send their number one to the net for the Golden Knights, as it will be Fleury versus Talbot in Edmonton, playing in the last late game of the day.  Both Troy and Mike have already qualified in the survivor game, so they're just looking for points, Mike's team trailing Troy by 21 points at the start of play today.
