Morning Player Notes (Nov 1)
On Tuesday night, the Anaheim Ducks were without defenseman Josh Manson, due to an upper-body injury, suffered on the weekend. There wasn't much, when it came to details on the injury, except that the team has him listed as day-to-day for right now. The Ducks are back in action on Thursday night, hosting the Rangers, and Manson's status still remains unclear.
It's been somewhat of a slow start for Manson on Chelsea's pool team, picking up 3 points in his first 12 games, but he has been logging a lot of minutes lately, which could turn into a good thing, if the Ducks can right their ship this year.
On Wednesday night, the Chicago Blackhawks had to take on the Vancouver Canucks without superstar forward Patrick Kane, as the winger was under the weather and unfit to play. The Blackhawks will be playing on back-to-back nights, going in Edmonton tonight, so they are obviously hoping that Kane got enough rest to recover from whatever bug has bitten him to play tonight.
Kane currently sits 4th overall in hockey pool scoring, even after missing Wednesday night's game, having already scored 11 goals and 18 points in 12 games this year. That's a pretty good return for Stuart's team in the pool, which currently sits 6th in the standings.
