Preds' Subban on the Shelf

The injury problems continue to mount for the Nashville Predators, as P.K. Subban was placed on the Injured Reserve on Thursday, hours before they were to take to the ice to take on the Arizona Coyotes, filling his spot with Dan Hamhuis, who came off the IR, healthy from his undisclosed injury.

Subban was reportedly hurt on Tuesday night against the San Jose Sharks, suffering an upper-body injury after logging just over seven minutes of ice-time in the game and not returning to it later.  The Predators would not reveal any more details on the injury, but placing him on the IR means that he will miss out on Saturday and Monday's contests, as well as missing last night.

The veteran defenseman has been pretty good for the Predators, so far this season, picking up 2 goals and 12 points in 18 games, ranking him 153rd overall in pool scoring, 18th among all defensemen.

This is now the third body on the injury list for Neil and his hockey pool team, which got off to such a rocking start this season, but has seen more than his fair share of injuries in the past couple of weeks.  Still though, his team has stuck it out, still ranking 6th in the standings, 7 points out of 3rd place, but now two of his Nashville players are on the shelf, Subban we're not quite sure for how long exactly, so this could eventually cost him, if he is on for an extended period of time.
