Continuing the Friday night trade recaps, the Flyers snagged another young(er) defenseman for their blueline corps on Friday by trading away a first round pick to Washington for Steve Eminger and a third round pick.

Eminger has been a player with a fair amount of upside, but never seemed to grasp the Washington style of play. Between the minor system and the big club, Eminger hasn't seen a full 82-game season, topping out at 68 games two seasons ago. In Philadelphia, he may be able to crack the line-up and stay there for a reasonable amount of time. His career high in points is only 18, so a full season should be able to top that. Buyer beware in the hockey pools though. You may not want to pick him up just yet.
