The Colorado Avalanche were thrilled to pull a deal off for minor league player, Marty Sertich on Tuesday, as they acquired him from the Dallas Stars for a conditional pick in 2009.
Sertich is a smaller centre, standing at 5'11" and 165 lbs, he will have to make sure his offensive abilities will carry him through the main camp, just like it carried him to the Hobey Baker Award in 2005. In the AHL, Sertich led the Iowa Stars with 59 points in 79 games, which will hopefully translate into a solid third line job for the Avalanche.
