Another ka-pow hit on Saturday night, as Colby Armstrong of the Thrashers managed to catch Marian Hossa with his head down going over the Atlanta blueline and popped him a good one. Hossa ended up leaving the game and not returning and then on Sunday afternoon in Columbus, he wasn't in the line-up. There has been no immediate word as to what his condition actually is or how long he'll be out or whether or not his Olympics run is in jeopardy.
The video of the hit is posted below, its a little small and you'll have to wait a while for the replays, but its a pretty clean hit in my opinion, so I don't expect Armstrong to be sitting after the break.
In terms of the Draft, John B. has been trying to climb out of the basement and he'll need Hossa to be okay for that. Right now, this injury shouldn't be considered major, I'm sure we're going to have an injury update going into the Week Twenty-One action. As play closes down for the week, John has 7 points to go to move up to 14th and 10 to 13th. Its a certain possibility when play resumes.
