A collective breath is being held in Anaheim on Tuesday, as the Ducks are awaiting the results of an MRI on what is believed to be a sprained ankle for Ryan Getzlaf. Getzlaf was hurt in last night's game against the Los Angeles Kings and was not able to finish the game. An X-Ray was negative, so there isn't any bone damage, but the MRI will determine damage to the muscles and ligaments.
The Draft leader, Leon, is also holding his breath, as Getzlaf is one of the gravy trains that have helped him up to the top of the standings. The grip on 1st has weakened a bit over the last month or so, so there is much to be said about this injury.
When more details come down, we'll speculate a little bit further on this Getzlaf injury.
