The Predators announced on Tuesday that they will have both Colin Wilson and Nolan Yonkman up with the team for their next game on Long Island. Wilson, a Box 9 forward in the Sheet pool, was sent down to the minors in November to get his conditioning back, after suffering a groin injury. The Predators were obviously not in a big rush to have him back, but these recalls do have the rumour mill churning today, which has perked my ears a little bit.
The Capitals have also recalled Semyon Varlamov from his second conditioning stint in 2010. Varlamov's first stint did not go so well, working out a hip injury, he ended up injuring his knee, causing him to miss even more time. It does appear that Varlamov is ready to go and his recall should have him at least backing up Jose Theodore for Wednesday's game in Montreal. That's good news for Trevor, who sits in last place in the Draft, maybe he'll get a little bit more help to work his way out of the basement.
