The Oilers have an MRI scheduled for Sam Gagner for Tuesday to diagnose the severity of a knee injury. By the sounds of things, Gagner actually hurt his knee during the team's skills competition, but it's only been in the last couple games where he's really aggravated the injury. On Monday night, it all came to a point, as he missed the contest against the Coyotes and he'll be undergoing some tests to see how bad it is.
Until word comes down, consider him day-to-day.
Well, Gagner's injury has no implications to the money race this season, but for Peter's own personal pride of position, he could be mired in 13th or below now for the rest of the season. There is now a 12-point gap between Peter and the tie for 11th place, but injuries like this do not make things too promising.
