The Flyers did get the ball rolling today with a couple of signings to depth forwards, as Andreas Nodl and Tom Sestito signed brand new deals on Monday. Nodl signed a 2-year deal, reportedly worth $1.69 million over the two seasons, while Sestito's deal was not disclosed by Monday evening.
Nodl had 22 points in 67 games for the Flyers, while Sestito only appeared in nine games, picking up 4 points.
With some of the movement that has been circulating around the Flyers in the last few days, this could be the opportunity that a guy like Nodl needs to spread his wings and start picking up some more points. Currently, he figures in as the number six forward, but that'll soon change with more signings, but I don't think that'll take away from opportunity.
