The Canadiens have reportedly signed forward Andrei Kostitsyn to a new 1-year deal, reportedly worth $3.25 million for the season. Kostitsyn started living up to some of his potential in the 2011 season, scoring 45 points in 81 games. His new deal should give him a bit of a boost.
Kostitsyn finished 118th in scoring among forwards in 2011, which would put him in the thick of the hockey pool draft, which I would imagine he would be good enough for again in 2012, barring injury. He'll definitely be a guy that'll figure on the selection sheet as well, so keep an eye out for his progress in training camp this Fall.
