An upper-body injury that Nashville Predators defenseman, Roman Josi, suffered last Friday against the Avalanche, has now been deemed a concussion and the Swiss defenseman is now on the shelf for the foreseeable future. NHL protocol will have him on the shelf until the weekend, at least, but Josi has not returned to the ice, according to reports this morning, so his timeline may be a bit longer.
Josi has played two games for the Predators, unable to register a point in those games and it doesn't look like he'll be adding anything to that total any time soon.
Tough break for Wilton, as his team is already without their back-up goalie in Tomas Vokoun. Losing a defenseman isn't the end-all of a season, especially only in the second week of the season. Wilton is off to a rough start, sitting in 22nd place after Tuesday night, but there is still plenty of time to see his team turn it around.
