Habs Lose Prust For a Month

The Montreal Canadiens are having to look forward in their schedule without some of the grit and toughness they wanted this season, as they have officially lost forward Brandon Prust for about four weeks to a shoulder injury, which he suffered on the weekend.

It has been a tough weekend for the Habs, as they had also lost the services of Daniel Briere to a concussion in the same game, so their fight will be a little harder.  The team has recalled a couple of players to take the injured players places, Patrick Holland and Mike Blunden.

Prust wasn't exactly off to the most offensive start to the season, as he has only scored 2 goals and 1 assist in the first eight games of the year.  I have him currently ranked 261st in pool scoring, starting Week Four, which isn't awesome.

ImplicationsPrust belongs to Stacey M. this season and her team will start Week Four in 5th place, but will be one of the teams below 35 projected games to be played, so her team's chances of staying up this close to the prizes seems a bit slim. Stacey's team has suffered in the games played department early on this season, as Mika Zibanejad has been down in the minors and Michael Del Zotto has been a scratch a few times as well.  The loss of Prust will only compound the problem a little bit.
