The last two teams remain! Stuart, who sits in 23rd, has Jhonas Enroth and Robin Lehner, and John S., who sits in last, 24th, has Martin Brodeur and Kari Ramo. Today might be the day that we end this silly competition, as we have some starters going today.
Early on... the Oilers will be playing against the Senators, where there have been reports of a start for Lehner. The early start would save number one Craig Anderson from getting out of his everyday rhythm. Lehner will get the early shot at removing Stuart from this conversation.
Ryan Miller is expected to start for the Sabres on Saturday evening, which means that Stuart will only have Lehner as his chance to get off the list. Enroth will be Miller's back-up on Saturday night against the Avalanche.
Martin Brodeur will be backing up Cory Schneider on Saturday against the Rangers on Saturday, which will eliminate a start from John's chances of getting off the list. Brodeur and Schneider have each been struggling to start the season, but it will be the new guy's turn in net tonight.
In the late game, the Calgary Flames will finally be giving Kari Ramo his second start of the 2014 season, as they take on the Sharks in San Jose. It isn't quite the easiest test for Ramo, but it is a chance, nonetheless, to impress. A big game here could go a long ways to playing himself back into the Calgary crease.
There you have it. Two teams left, two goalies playing... Stuart will be first up, but John will have a shot to counter later on tonight, if all doesn't go so well.
Are you ready for some hockey?!?
