The lower-body injury that took Max Pacioretty out of Wednesday night's game has been diagnosed as a hamstring strain and the team had announced on Thursday afternoon that they expect him to be out of the line-up for about three weeks.
Pacioretty has played in five games for the Habs thus far, scoring 2 goals and 1 assist, which is good for 222nd in pool scoring, through Thursday night. He has a couple of scratches to his name as well, so it hasn't been the best start to his season, by any means.
The injury prone list is already rearing its ugly head this year, with Ryan Callahan in the post previous to this and Pacioretty already being a part of the list, he gets cemented in with this injury news.
Wes took Pacioretty in the 4th round of the draft this year, 83rd overall, and is not getting anything like that kind of production to this point in the season. Missing out on three weeks will definitely hurt that potential as well. Wes finished Thursday night in 16th place in the standings, 18 points out of the money and 20 points out of 1st place.
