Afternoon Player Notes in the Draft (Oct 22)
The New York Rangers are saying that forward Derek Stepan is going to be a game-time decision tonight, as the Rangers take on the Arizona Coyotes at home tonight. Stepan is had his wisdom teeth and a few screws removed from his jaw on Thursday morning, which does make it unlikely that he'll dress, but these guys are pretty tough and will push through just about anything. However, since it is early on in the season and teams are not grinding out for points quite yet, the Rangers may be wise to sit him for one game.
Brian has been one of the teams on a tear in Week Three, sharing the lead for the Mover & Shaker in the week with 10 points heading into Thursday night and he's moved up to 8th place from 18th. Sure, he'll miss Stepan for a game, if he doesn't dress, but he's still made great progress this week.
